    One of the most exciting aspects of Ballet Hispánico’s celebration is its touring schedule, which brings the beauty of dance and awareness of Latinx culture to communities across the United States and Canada. The tour kicks off in mid-September in Canada and continues throughout October. It graces states such as Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Connecticut. As the grand finale, the group will return to the tri-state area, leaving a trail of inspired audiences in their wake.

    Community Celebration: Celebración Latina

    During Hispanic Heritage Month, Ballet Hispánico hosts “Celebración Latina.” The community event promises a day filled with cultural immersion and entertainment. Set for Sunday, October 15th, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the organization invites everyone to join in the festivities. The celebration takes place on Ballet Hispánico Way at West 89th Street. Celebrations stretch from Amsterdam Avenue to the front door of the company’s headquarters.

This series explores the interconnectedness of the arts, social justice, and Latinx cultures. In a particularly poignant event, Stonewall Diálogos: Creating Safe Spaces, Ballet Hispánico celebrates LGBTQIA+ Latinx heritage. This annual event takes place on September 19 at the historic Stonewall Inn on 53 Christopher Street and commences at 5:30 p.m.
