Flow rock band: Ready for Anime Shibari tour and Otakon Friday Concert

Flow’s global Anime Shibari tour celebrating its electrifying rock hits begins at the Otakon Friday Concert.

ARTCENTRON NEWS

WASHINGTON, D.C.– Flow, the renowned Japanese rock band famous for its contributions to anime soundtracks, is set to headline the Friday Concert at Otakon 2024. Comprised of Kohshi and Keigo (vocals), Take (guitar), Got’s (bass), and Iwasaki (drums), Flow is globally recognized for its electrifying rock anthems and dynamic live performances.

The band’s upcoming appearance at Otakon marks its return after the unforgettable performance at the Anisong World Matsuri in 2017, leaving fans clamoring for more. This year, the band brings even more excitement to its teaming audience. Its Friday Concert coincides with the launch of its first-ever five-continent tour, the “Flow World Tour: Anime Shibari 2024-2025.”

Flow’s Anime-only Tour

The tour, aptly named Anime Shibari, meaning “Anime-only” in Japanese, underscores Flow’s commitment to performing only the anime-related tracks it celebrates. Expect to hear the band’s iconic hits from popular anime series like Naruto, Code Geass, Dragon Ball Z, and many more.

Flow’s global appeal is undeniable, with their chart-topping track “Sign” surpassing 100 million streams on Spotify alone. From Australia to North America and beyond, the band has captivated audiences in nearly 20 countries since 2006.

Before embarking on its worldwide tour, Flow will host “Flow The Festival 2024” in Japan, a grand finale to celebrate their 20th anniversary. This curated anime song rock festival promises to be the band’s largest performance yet. It sets the stage for group’s global journey.

The tour will kick off in Australia before making its way through North America. There will stops in major cities like Sydney, New York, Chicago, and Toronto. European, South American, and Asian tour dates will follow soon on the band’s official website and social media channels.

To honor their anime roots, Flow’s World Tour visuals feature the band members reimagined as anime characters. They will be accompanied by an animated promotional video by Zero Animation.

Flow’s inclusion in Otakon’s Friday Concert lineup further solidifies their place among esteemed acts like Altima, Yaiba, and X Japan’s Yoshiki. This is a not-to-miss chance to experience Flow’s energetic performance at Otakon 2024. Otakon runs from August 2 to August 4 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
