NEW YORK, NY.- Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?, an art exhibition featuring the works of 13 contemporary African artists has opened at the Richard Taittinger Gallery in New York. While the objective of the show is to introduce the featured artists to the New York art audience, it also highlights the progress made by contemporary African artists in the global art space. The exhibition opening brought together some of the featured artists, friends and collectors from around New York. Guests also came from across the country.
The works on display at the exhibition cut across different art genre: painting, photography, sculpture and mixed media art.
The exhibition opening was cozy and warm. There was so much to eat and drink. The art event was an opportunity for artists to interact with collectors and curators. Among those at the opening were Fanbi and Onyeka Ibe, Chika Modum, Richard F. Taittinger, Tatyana Franck, Danielle Wu, Erica Becker, Danielle Wu, Jason J Hillard, Jérôme Sans, and Ugochukwu-Smooth C. Nzewi, curator of the show.
For those who missed the opening, here are some of the photos from the opening. All images courtesy of Richard Taittinger Gallery.
