Otakorp said all three new Otakon 2026 guests have connections with Studio Cypic’s The World is Dancing.

The World Is Dancing is a Japanese historical manga series that Kazuto Mihara writes and illustrates. Kodansha serialized the manga in its seinen magazine Morning from March 2021 to October 2022 before collecting its chapters into six tankōbon volumes.

Mihara sets the story during Japan’s Muromachi period and follows Oniyasha, the young Zeami Motokiyo, as he begins the journey that transforms him into the founder of Noh theater. The series combines historical fiction with coming-of-age drama while exploring the origins of one of Japan’s oldest performing arts. Cypic produced the anime television adaptation, and it premiered on July 2, 2026.
