    For movie buffs, the Enoch Pratt Free Library is hosting a screening of the biographical film Respect, detailing the life of Aretha Franklin. The movie will take place on March 8th and showcase Jennifer Hudson’s stellar portrayal of the Queen of Soul.     7. Baltimore Shamrock Crawl: St. Patrick’s Day Fun

    Saturday, March 15th, 2025. 1 pm-9 pm.

    The Fells Point neighborhood of Baltimore transforms into a sea of green for the Baltimore Shamrock Crawl. Participants will enjoy drink specials like Bud Lights, rail drinks, and Shamrock shots while hopping between some of the best bars in the area. There are costume contests, raffles, and plenty of St. Patrick’s Day spirit, so put on your best green attire and join in the fun.  There are prizes for best dressed. They include a signature Shamrock mug, amazing specials, and cover-free access to some of Fells Point’s best bars. The organizers emphasized that ‘You must be 21+ to participate.’

    8. Baltimore St. Patrick’s Parade – Parade Day:

    Baltimore’s St. Patrick’s Parade is the highlight of Maryland’s celebration. For over 65 years, crowds have filled downtown streets and the Inner Harbor to witness the festivities. People march, sing, dance, and celebrate Irish culture. The Parade starts at 2:00 p.m. EDT at the Washington Monument, heading south on Charles Street and then east on Pratt Street to Market Place. Be mindful of the Shamrock 5K Race, which begins at 1:00 p.m. EDT just before the Parade. Arriving early is ideal for the best parking and viewing spots.

    Tattoo lovers won’t want to miss the 17th Annual Baltimore Tattoo Arts Festival from March 7th to 9th. The event takes place at the Baltimore Convention Center, where you can meet world-renowned tattoo artists, watch live tattoo competitions, and browse hundreds of vendor booths featuring artwork, jewelry, and more. Whether you’re getting inked or just admiring the artistry, it’s an event that attracts people from all walks of life.

    10. BIG Time Improv Show

    If you’re in the mood for laughter, don’t miss the BIG Time improv show at Baltimore Improv Group’s theater. This event, running through March, features spontaneous and unpredictable comedy as performers create scenes and sketches based on stories from special guests. It’s a night full of creativity, surprises, and lots of laughs. Recent guests include  Eduardo Sanchez (Writer/Director The Blair Witch Project), Olympic Gold Medalist Kenny Monday, and Kirby Fowler (CEO of the Maryland Zoo). Other include  Adrienne Roberson (Orioles Public Address Announcer) and Mike Menzel (the Engineer of the James Webb Telescope).

    11. Belly Dance with Naimah Dances

    Explore the beauty and rhythm of belly dance with Naimah Dances at the Creativity Center on Thursdays. This class combines classic and modern Middle Eastern styles, offering an immersive experience in dance while learning about Egyptian history and culture. The classes are for beginners and experienced dancers. Naimah’s class provides a welcoming space for all. Naimah is an award-winning belly dancer. She is also produced many shows in Maryland.  Naimah is currently the co-producer of the “Art of the Belly” belly dance festival in Ocean City, Maryland. The cost of the classes ranges from $22 to $75.

Dobson as Marvin Gaye, this show at Keystone Korner celebrates their incredible music.  This performance will transport the audience back in time to the golden age of R&B.
