NEW YORK, NY- After so much anticipation, Rihanna has announced the launch date for her highly-anticipated Fenty Beauty line. The launch date is September 8. She made the announcement on the Instagram page with a post that simply featured the date ‘9.8.17′ and comments that “@FentyBeauty is coming!!!!.” In addition to the announcement, she also told her fans to start the countdown for the makeup line that will be available globally at Sephora and Harvey Nichols stores.

The announcement ends months of teasing that has been unnerving for Rihanna’s fans. The launch date of September 8th is tactically scheduled to coincide with New York Fashion Week that will be held in the fall. Although it is uncertain what will be included in the Fenty Beauty cosmetics collection, it is believed that a holographic highlighter will be a major inclusion. Based on hints given by the superstar herself, there are also speculations that the collection will include lip gloss, lipsticks, and eye shadows soft.

The Fenty Beauty trademark was first registered three years ago. Soon after Rihanna registered the trademark for her cosmetics line in 2014, news started filtering out that the Fenty Beauty line was in the works.
With the announcement of the launch date, Rihanna joins the list of celebrities who have been involved in the makeup business. In the past few years, celebrities like Kim Kardashian West, Kylie Jenner, and several other stars have launched their own cosmetic lines.
