A new picture book about Björk Cornucopia Tour reveals an immersive experience, blending sound, vision, visual art, and avant-garde experience.

Björk continues to push the boundaries of music and art with the announcement of her latest project: a stunning 480-page picture book titled Cornucopia: The Book. This publication focuses on her acclaimed Cornucopia Tour, showcasing the intricate blend of artistry that defines her performances.
The book features an array of sophisticated elements, including bespoke instruments, ethereal projections and elaborate costumes. Each aspect works together to redefine theatrical music performances in contemporary culture. With contributions from renowned artists, including director Tobias Gremmler, and performances by The Hamrahlíð Choir, Cornucopia: The Book captures the meticulous craftsmanship behind this ambitious live production.
Designed by M/M Paris, the softcover book includes sewn sections and flaps, enhancing its visual appeal. Photography by Santiago Felipe further complements the artistic journey Björk offers through her music.
Björk’s commitment to avant-garde practices shines through in this project. The use of cutting-edge virtual reality technologies and 360-degree audiovisual software creates a fully immersive experience that resonates with audiences. The Cornucopia stage design exemplifies a harmonious balance between nature and technology. Elements such as wooden, metallic, and glass materials, mycelium textures, and floral-patterned textiles come together in a sophisticated aesthetic. Björk’s custom-made instruments push the limits of traditional performance. Unique pieces like the magnetic harp, aluphone, circular flute, and a reverb chamber designed with an audio architect elevate both the acoustic and intimate dimensions of her live shows.
Cornucopia: The Book invites readers to explore Björk’s distinctive world of sound and vision. It narrates the journey of “a modern marionette who alchemically mutates from puppet to puppet, from the injury of a heart wound to a fully healed state.” This transformative story resonates deeply, capturing the essence of Björk’s artistry.
