For those who love sightseeing, the light rail will serve you well. There is a lot to see as the light rail travels from BWI through downtown Baltimore and Hunt Valley.

    Some of the important attractions you will come across while riding the light rail include the Baltimore Symphony Hall, the Maryland Institute of Art (MICA), and the Maryland fairground, where many amazing events are held.

    Many people like to visit Charm City during the summer. This is because there are major events happening all over.  There is Artscape, the largest art festival in America. Many events also happen at the Baltimore Inner Harbor, where musicians and entertainers demonstrate their dexterity. Spring is also a lively time in Baltimore. It is cool and there are many outdoor events. The most popular is the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. If you visit Baltimore during the baseball and football seasons, there is so much to enjoy because downtown Baltimore will be bustling. Many pubs will open and you can mingle and make new friends.

    Summer is sometimes warm and humid, but not all the time. The extremely warm and humid days are called “code red days.” To help people deal with the heat, the City and the state government have instituted regular plans to help people get through the heat. Those who do not have one can buy it at the restaurant. Eating crabs is performative and must be ready to make a mess. Visitors who are staying with family and would rather eat crabs at home, can buy already cooked crabs or buy fresh ones to cook at home. Some stores even sell delicious crab cakes.

    It is impossible not to mention Artscape. This is one of the biggest outdoor festivals in the United States. It brings together thousands of art lovers from across the United States and the world. In addition to art, there are also so many festivities with food and music.

    It is a big challenge to list all the top things in Baltimore because there are so many of them. However, here are five of them.

    Walters Art Museum

    Located on North Charles Street, the Walters Art Museum is a must-visit for any guest in Baltimore. It contains works from different art periods, cultures, and traditions. They stretch from the ages of antiquity to the 20th century. There are Asian, Byzantine, Egyptian, Greek, and Roman art pieces cleverly curated across the museum. The museum gives a free walk-through to visitors who request it as it effort to help them contextualize the work.

    The Maryland Zoo

    The Maryland Zoo is one of the favorites for visitors to Baltimore. There are many animals, including lions, elephants, chimps, and giraffes, among many others. You have to go early in order to take in all the amazing animals and activities at the zoo.

    National Aquarium

    The National Aquarium at the Inner Harbor is full of exciting things to do. There are always amazing exhibits going on in different sections of the aquarium.     Fort McHenry National Monument

    This huge area is well known for its role in the War of 1812. It is this battle that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the words of the Star-Spangle Banner, which later became the national anthem of the United States. The star-shaped fort is part of the U.S.  National Park Service’s Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine. If you are visiting during spring, it is a good idea to wear a pair of boots and carry an umbrella.

    Baltimore Inner Harbor

    The Baltimore Inner Harbor is a fun place to spend an afternoon. There are so many fun activities, including performers doing their thing to entertain fans. There are always musicians, magicians, jugglers, and forms of entertainment. Many events are also held here. The eatery section has several restaurants, including Hooters. There are also shops where visitors can buy things to take home to their families.
