BALTIMORE, MD- In its continued efforts to bring art to the community, the Enoch Pratt Fine Arts Department invites the photography community and art enthusiasts alike to engage in a unique and inspiring event: the Photography Print Exchange. The event will take place at the Central Library on May 10 at 10:00 a.m. This gathering offers more than just an opportunity to share photographs—it fosters artistic dialogue, creative exchange, and a celebration of the photographic print as a tangible form of expression.

Fostering Connection Through Photography

The goal of the Photography Print Exchange is to encourage interaction between emerging and professional photographers. This event welcomes everyone—from seasoned professionals to casual hobbyists and photography enthusiasts. Whether your images come from a professional camera or a mobile phone, all prints are valued for their ability to connect and inspire.

Guidelines for Participation

Participants can bring photographic prints of any subject, including landscapes, portraits, or abstract works. There are no strict guidelines for the type or size of the prints. However, the advice is for attendees to bring standard print sizes to ease the exchange process. There is no limit to how many prints one may bring or trade.

Open to All—No Registration Required

The Photography Print Exchange thrives on open participation. No registration is required. There is no entry fee. Individuals may simply show up with prints and a willingness to engage with others. This relaxed format allows for genuine artistic interaction and community building.

In an era dominated by digital imagery, this event highlights the enduring value of printed photography. Holding a photograph in hand allows for deeper appreciation. The richness of tone, texture, and detail on paper offers a level of engagement that screens cannot replicate. The tactile quality of a print emphasizes the craftsmanship central to fine art photography.
