WASHINGTON, D.C. -Several online content creators will be part of Otakon 2022 in Washington, D.C. These social media content creators have made a name for themselves across the globe and have thousands of followers. One of them is KingChris.
KingChris has an online presence on social media sites like Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, among several others. On YouTube, KingChris is responsible for content like Late Night Weebs w/KingChris and ToxicG. The duo invites guests to their popular web show to discuss new developments in the anime world. KingChris has over 1.11 million subscribers.
Also on the list of online content creators for this year’s Otakon events is Kaho Shibuya. A content creator, anisong DJ, singer, and published author is very popular in the anime world for her creative content creations. This is Shibuya East Coast U.S. debut.
Shibuya is a Japanese media personality and former AV idol from Tokyo. Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, Kaho has been making waves in the cosplay and convention scene. A prolific online content creator, Shibuya is famous for her cosplays, music singles, and radio shows.
A multi-talented content creator, Shibuya has hosted her own radio show, written columns for multiple publications, and released three music singles. Her first Japanese-only book, “Everything Girls Should Know About The JAV Industry,” is being translated and repurposed. The book will soon be available for her English-speaking audience.
She’s currently working on her second book, which will soon be in stores in Japan.
TikTok creator Jose Estrada is another online content creator on the list of guests at this year’s Otakon. Estrada, who goes by the online handle of brownbakugo, is a lifelong anime fan who loves skit comedy and theater. His ambition is to pursue a career in acting and voice-over. In the meantime, Estrada is making a name for himself on various social media websites, where his content is attracting thousands of followers.
In addition to producing content for social media, Estrada is also an advocate for disabled athletes and creators. He is passionate about visibility for disabled athletes and creators. Estrada, who lives in San Diego, California, loves to play wheelchair basketball when he’s not doing his best Clifford Chapin impression.
These social media creators add to the growing list of guests to this year’s Otakon. They will talk about their content creation process and their career.
Otakon 2022 will take place from July 29–31 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. According to the organizers of the annual event, attendees eligible for COVID-19 vaccination should be fully vaccinated and masked in all convention areas of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and the Marriott Marquis.
