Action star Paul Mormando brings his Martial arts skills to Silent Partners, a new, an exciting new series based on real-life mafia boss Dave Lacovetti.

NEW YORK, NY- Paul Mormando, the Brooklyn native and rising action will get ample opportunity to showcase his martial arts skills and well-rounded distinctive set of fighting style in Silent Partners, an exciting new pilot based on real-life mafia boss Dave Lacovetti. The internationally recognized and renowned martial arts action star has been cast as Benny Blades, the heavy-hitting street enforcer for the Gambino crime family.
Silent Partners will also feature Ciro Dapagio (The MobKing, Backlash), the Co-creator of the thrilling series. He plays the lead role of Valentine. Dapagio brings a world of experience to his character and role as co-creator. A unique figure in the entertainment industry, Dapagio was a former member of organized crime in Florida. He transitioned into writing and acting after being released from prison. Dapagio’s experience helps to lend Silent Partners a distinct sense of authenticity.
The series also stars Garry Pastore (The Deuce) as Dave Lacovetti and Joseph Donofrio (A Bronx Tale) as Dave Jr. Ronnie Marmo (General Hospital), James Russo (Django Unchained, Donnie Brasco) and Antoni Corone (We own the Night) round out the ensemble.
Silent Partners is set to begin shooting on location in Miami at the end of May. Set in 1980’s South Florida, Silent Partners tells the unbelievable and compelling true story of Good E-Boy Insurance. The series traces the history of the insurance company, which served as a front for a Mob-run operation, and how the business went rogue when it partnered with an outlaw mafia member, Cosa Nostra royalty – a member of the Sicilian Mafia.
Paul Mormando martial arts skills will serve him well in his role as Benny Blades. The character, however, presents new challenges for Paul Mormando (Bound By Debt, Justified Vengeance), who is used to playing the hero in his projects. However, he welcomes the challenge and intrigue that comes with taking on a role that is far darker than what he is used to, in portraying a real-life gangster. Mormando says, “I am really excited to expand my acting range and take on a role that is not the norm for me, especially to be surrounded by such a great ensemble cast.”
The show co-creator Ciro Dapagio produced the successful YouTube web series The Mob King, which won Best New Web Series and Best Lead Actor at the Annual Widescreen Festival in 2018. He has worked with Pat Andrew of Wanda-Halcyon and former executive of Spelling Entertainment.
