Soul Singer Cuba Gooding Sr. famous for the Everybody Plays The Fool track has died at the age of 72.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA-Soul Singer Cuba Gooding Sr. is dead.  The celebrate musician and father of the Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. was found dead in his car in Los Angeles.  He was 72 years old.

According to report,  the Soul Singer was found slumped over inside his car in Woodland Hills, Calif. at 12:58 p.m on Thursday. All effort to resuscitate him with CPR by the fire department that responded to the call failed.

Everybody Plays the fool is perhaps the most famous hit by the singer, who was the lead singer of the band  The Main Ingredient.  Released in 1972, the song captivated many hearts soon after it was released, becoming a national anthem.

Soul Singer Cuba Gooding Sr. is survived by his wife Shirley,   Cuba Gooding Jr. and three other children.

The police continue to investigate the cause of death.
