BALTIMORE, MD.- Director Ei Aoki and producer Shizuka Kurosaki, two of the top talents behind the series Aldnoah. Zero will be guests at this year’s Baltimore Otakon Convention to held July 24-26 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD.
Aoki is an exceptional animation director who has made a great impact in the directorial world. Since his directorial debut in 2014, Aoki has continued to sharpen his skills, producing exceptional episodes of the Aldnoah. Zero series. As an animation director and episode director of Aldnoah. Zero, Aoki has worked on critically acclaimed titles such as Ga-Rei-Zero, The Garden of Sinners (Chapter 1), and Fate/Zero. In 2013, Aoki and several other combined to form the studio Troyca. As a founding member of the studio, Aoki directed the innovative Mecha anime series Aldnoah. Zero.
Aldnoah.Zero focuses on the conflict between two planets over who is the rightful heir to the Aldnoah, an ancient Martian technology discovered not long after the celestial hypergate, Princess Asseylum Vers Allusia descends upon earth as a Martian ambassador. The Aldnoah.Zero anime series takes place 15 years after a hypergate to Mars collapsed on the moon’s surface, a catastrophe now known as the Heavens’ Fall. To find a solution to the conflict, the war between the citizens of Earth and the Vers Empire of Mars is put on hold but disagreements persist. While some were willing to compromise, including Inaho Kaizuka, a Terran high school student, and Slaine Troyard, who swears his allegiance to Vers several, others were persistent in having their way. The assassination of Asseylum broke the ceasefire and the war between Terrans and the Martians breaks out.
Like Aoki, Shizuka Kurosaki has also made a great impact in the animation world. As a producer, Kurosaki’s credits include anime titles such as The Garden of Sinners, Aldnoah.Zero and Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works.
