BURBANK, CALIFORNIA – Disney ventured Into the Woods with the release of a trailer. The hotly anticipated movie to be released on Christmas Day is a modern twist on Stephen Sondheim’s beloved 1987 musical.
Into the woods, a modern adaptation of beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales explores the story of a group of fairy tale characters who enter the dark forest with the quest of archiving their deepest wishes. The movie has twists and dramatic visual effects that will glue viewers to the screen. Additionally, this American musical fantasy film has humorous and heartfelt musicals composed by Stephen Sondheim that will make the audience sing-along.
Into the Woods stars an ensemble of seasoned and award-winning cast. The cast list includes Anna Kendrick as the Cinderella, Meryl Streep as the Witch, Lilla Crawford as the Little Red Riding Hood, Daniel Huttlestone as Jack and the Beanstalk, James Corden as the Baker, Johnny Depp as the Wolf, and MacKenzie Mauzy as Rapunzel.
Into the Woods adapted by James Lapine is directed by Rob Marshall. Into the Woods hits theaters on December 25, 2014. The expectation is that the movie will bring children and their parents to the theater during the Christmas holiday celebrations. As a way of accommodating the anticipated surge of movie fans, movie theaters are providing incentives for people to win prizes designed specifically for the movie.
