PERFORMANCE:  Sexual Adventure of Sex Idiot leads to Sexually Transmitted Infection

CANADA— What would you do if you suddenly discovered you have a Sexually Transmitted Infection-STI? That is the question Bryony Kimmings tries to answer in her one-woman play titled Sex Idiot. After her first STI test, it became clear to Kimmings that she had contracted a common sexual disease.

How? That was the first question that came to her mind. Her next question opens a Pandora’s box that throws up years of secrets. From whom did she contract the Sexually Transmitted Infection? Uncertain about who gave her the sexual disease, Kimmings begins to retrace her sexual footsteps. That marks the beginning of a cyclonic journey filled with sexual misadventures and self-realization.

Awkward Sexual Adventure of a Sex Idiot

Sex Idiot began with a Sexual Transmitted Infection test that dovetailed into an investigation of past sexual adventures. Kimmings excavation of her past sexual escapade is one daring endeavor. Can you imagine getting a call from an ex-lover asking: “Did you give me chlamydia?”

Sex Idiot is a funny and unapologetic portrait of female sexuality in the 21st century told through evocative performance, dance, song, and quirky conversation. Evidently, only someone with a brilliant sense of humor as Kimmings will turn their past sexual exploit into a song filled with numerous brazen names for their private part.

Drunken Sex Confession

A cabaret of confession, Kimmings history reveals a mixture of drunken sex and unfathomable carelessness. Straddling somewhere between homemade pop song, ornithological nature trail, and an ode to love lost, Sex Idiot is bold and unbelievably hilarious. It is engaging as it is interactive.
