The naked Donald Trump statue was created by the anonymous art collective INDECLINE. Naked Donald Trump Statue

This naked Donald Trump statue is just one of a series that appeared nationwide recently. While several were destroyed, others were confiscated.  The La Luz de Jesus Gallery is perhaps the only one that was not confiscated or destroyed. La Luz de Jesus Gallery director Matt Kennedy rescued it before it went the way of others.

When it appeared in the public space in August, the naked Donald Trump statue became a symbol of political protest art. It garnered international coverage, generating some controversy across the globe. An explicit statue, La Luz de Jesus Gallery refused to hide or censor the statue, choosing instead to display it prominently and in public view. The boldness exhibited by La Luz de Jesus Gallery in displaying the naked Donald Trump inserted the recent bitter political debate into current art discourse.

Even as the uproar over the statue grew, it was loaned to the Jimmy Kimmel Live! Show. It soon found its way into the opening monologues of Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show, Stephen Colbert’s Late Show, and hundreds of other news and entertainment outlets.

From October 17th through 22nd, the naked trump will go on display ahead of the Presidential election in November 2016. The venue is the  Julien’s Auctions Los Angeles gallery.   This will  give people the opportunity to see the naked Donald Trump statue before it disappears into a private collection,

National Immigration Forum, one of the leading immigrant advocacy organizations in the country will benefit from the sale of the naked Donald Trump statue. The mission of the organization is to advocate for the value of immigrants and immigration to the nation.
